So many amazing makers and vendors in New York contributed to the sleek and show-stopping look for this dinner party celebrating Virgil Abloht's newest Rose collaboration with Moet. Working for Matte Projects we created a seated dinner experience for select guests at the New Museum. Patrons were flanked by custom ice sculptures by Fox Fodder Farm & Okamoto Studios and took in the bush colored scene from the museum balcony.

Frank Body natural skincare and scrubs was hosted at Chillhouse nail, beauty salon & cafe for a soft launch of some products. I created a lush step & repeat on the curb and brought many velvet pieces in to create a textural custom feeling. Guests enjoyed treatments and interacted with vintage brass hand mirrors I sourced. A twee bar cart turned scrub display with a few cloche & handmade ceramics.
Laura and Brian live in Fort Greene with their regal and goofy Bracco Italiano (He's internet famous, no biggie). They found me through their talented florist (Saipua). It was clear from our first meeting that we were going to vibe, I was highly caffeinated and they were very understanding. Their expertly planned two-day vision was a blast to see come to fruition. A ceremony followed by Italian family-style dinner behind Frankies 457 Spuntino for close friends and family was picturesque. Many bottles of wine, much raising of glasses and an abundance of meatballs for the win! Saturday's party was downstairs at The Wythe Hotel. Saipua treated the space to a bar-side floral installation and the Wythe provided custom cocktails and sweet/savory bites. Lastly, thanks to Jessa Blades for making all the ladies so beautiful. This one was a real joy to be a part of. Good luck you two! PHOTOS BY ECHOES & WILD HEARTSThe Bedford Historical Hall in New York set a perfect scene for this Fall wedding. Tristan and Nick readied themselves at a near by family home while vendors prepared the ceremony and reception sites. The coloring was all at once festive, bright and gothic evoking a lovely mood. Design by the Bride's family and the Saipua team (specializing in floral and event design) perfected every design detail. Guests were welcomed into the local court house and then walked a few paces to the 100 year old hall were they were met with bites by Maison Prive Catering and live music. Custom lounge rentals, a stunning cake, and the intimate venue meant a bespoke and one of a kind experience for all guests. Stylish company and thoughtful presentation made this evening a smash hit. Nikki and Roe live in New York, but when it came time to celebrate their wedding they headed for the hills. Roe's family own a sprawling acreage in North Carolina hill country with several beautiful farm houses, horse ranges, and cabins for guests. Nikki is a calligrapher and florist who dip dyed, arranged and drew beautiful bespoke elements that started with the stunning invite and ended on the dance floor with a view of a custom art installation. Wicked Pig BBQ cooked up two southern stations and East West Vintage peppered the isle and cocktail hour with beautiful rugs, pillows and poofs. Our Labor of Love was on site to capture some of the all time best wedding photos that truly captured the color and vibe of the day.
A wood-working studio played host to a comic book wedding in Brooklyn. Brooklynites Dana and Ian's D.I.Y spirit along with the unique setting and thoughtful decor made for a colorful and moody wedding. Guests walked in on tasty custom cocktails, a jazz band in full swing and dinosaur escort cards. There was no shortage of whimsy and fun during the couple's cocktail hour and dinner catered by Fancy Girl Table with flowers by Saffron in Brooklyn. The venue, Super Smith, beautifully finished the vibe with string lights hung above the dancefloor and custom table tops on otherwise fully functioning woodworking and welding equipment. Near by Baked dropped off cakes that got right to the point, "Hi Everyone!" Photos by jaka vinsek
Big Trouble in Little Chinatown. Dim-Sum + Cocktails! The Golden Unicorn, Manhattan (Weddings)8/6/2016 Dan and Louisa created an amazing banquet style dim-sum dance party in Downtown Manhattan for their wedding celebration and it was rad! They hosted their wedding at The Golden Unicorn in Chinatown that served a delicious Chinese supper for all the guests. A traditional tea ceremony with Big Trouble in Little China screening on all the flat screens was a perfect reflection of the couples style. The two created a custom cocktail program with Brooklyn's Clover Club and celebrated the gold and red touches that abound on the 2nd floor banquet space. FLORAL DESIGN BY DOUGLAS CALHOUN EVENTSAshley and Devin treated their favorite people to an action packed two day tour of New York City. A ceremony and dinner for close friends and family at Aurora in Williamsburg with flowers by Brooklyn Plant Studio, bars of Mast Brothers Chocolate and a vintage cab get away car made for a dreamy night. The next day's festivities started at We Work by Bryant Park in Manhattan and freshly popped popcorn and take-away totes were a perfect close to the dance party fun had by all. |
